  1. I'm a feeder, not a gainer, but I have put on over 100lbs since I stopped living on drugs and sadness (am now 230lb at 5'5" tall, UK size 20). Pros: I don't feel the cold anymore - used to spend all winter wrapped up in big jumpers and blankets and still shivering, it was horrible. Now I'm very rarely uncomfortably cold. I don't get sick - my body is well-nourished and stronger because of it. I eat around 3000kcal a day and my body has plenty of energy to fight off illness. My personal opinion is that most people (definitely most women) don't eat enough. Less catcalling! I used to hate going out alone because of the unwanted attention from men - now, almost nothing. If I didn't have brightly coloured hair and a skull mask no-one would even notice me. Also, the few times I have had a bloke say something disgusting, I've marched up to him and asked him who the fuck he thinks he's talking to, confident in the knowledge that I likely match or exceed him in weight and strength. Couldn't have done that as a small, weak person (disclaimer: I do a lot of strength training and my job revolves around lifting stuff, but just being larger and taking up space is a huge confidence boost as well). Built-in cushioning! I used to sleep with a pillow between my bony knees because it was uncomfortable to have them touching, and my hipbones made lying down awkward as well. Now I flop and squish and can get comfortable anywhere, with plenty of lovely soft homegrown padding. Also give good cuddles, hugging thin people grosses me out a bit, it just doesn't feel nice and I'm afraid I'll break them. Cons: Being bathed in sweat on hot days. I can't cope with the heat like I used to. Finding clothes that are affordable, fashionable, and fit well? Good luck with that. Constantly knocking stuff over because you're a lot wider than you think. Small chairs at restaurants and bars. Particularly those awful plastic ones with arms that cut into your sides. People assuming you're unfit/unhealthy/lazy etc because you're fat. Also, people assuming I have type 2 diabetes and brought it on myself by eating too much. Jokes on you, suckers, I'm type 1 and have been diabetic all my life. No matter how flexible you are, sometimes your belly just gets in the way. A lot of public toilets are tricky to navigate as a fat person, and my shower stall seems to have shrunk 🤔
  2. If you eat quickly you are more likely to be gassy, and also if you're sedentary. Doing some gentle exercise like going for a walk after meals helps your digestion. If it's a problem for her, you could consider either peppermint tea or capsules after eating, as they also aid digestion. Probiotic yoghurt or kefir are good to keep things running smoothly as well. It's not a size thing, I'm a 230lb vegetarian and don't have any issues.
  3. Well well, I typed w e e d and it was automatically censored for me...... how bizarre 🤣
  4. In general, ** increases your appetite because it lowers your blood sugar - you've heard of 'the munchies', right? However, not all strains will make you hungry, and like anything ** affects different people in different ways. If you smoke all the time you'll build up a tolerance to it, but I very much doubt it would help you lose weight.
  5. Another Saturday, another milkshake! I made bigger ones this time, which were roughly 1100kcal each 😁 This morning I was admiring his lovely body in bed and he said how much he's enjoying being fed and pampered lately and joked that he'll "be as big as the bed soon!". It's been a good day so far.
  6. That's great news! I'm happy for you. Get her some new clothes if her current ones are uncomfortably tight, and keep telling her how much healthier she looks. She can probably feel the difference too - I've been underweight before and it was miserable, I was cold all the time and had a lot less energy. Gaining just a few lbs to get up to a healthy weight really makes you feel a ton better in that situation.
  7. @badbluee sadly it's over and we're both back at work, though one of my jobs is still closed. We've kept the habits of smoking a few times a week and having pastries and milkshake on a Saturday, and just generally trying to have a slower pace of life. He's still expanding, I can see the difference in how tight some of his shirts are compared to a month ago. His chest has grown and is quite flabby now, it's especially obvious when he lies on his side how much fat has accumulated there (it makes a great pillow as well!). His bellybutton folds over when he sits down, which I LOVE, and I haven't seen his belt in ages...... I've also been enjoying the judgemental looks when I buy lots of cream, butter, cheese etc and people assume it's for me and that's why I'm so fat 🤣
  8. Although, your GF may feel more at home in #bodypositive rather than #fatpositive spaces, as she's pretty small - body positivity is generally for conventionally attractive women up to about a size 14/200lbs-ish, and fat positivity is for people who are actually fat. Also, new clothes that fit well can do wonders for someone's confidence if you have the funds for a shopping trip! There's nothing like tight, badly fitting clothes to make you feel uncomfortable in your body. Best of luck to both of you 🙂
  9. @guestoflegend ok I have no idea how to link directly to their pages from here (sorry!) so here's a few screenshots of some of my favourite fat positive people. Bodyposipanda and Yrfatfriend are more light-hearted, Drs Maria Paredes and Christy Harrison are deeper and more serious. You can also search #fatpositive and #fatliberation to find more.
  10. Does she use social media - Facebook or Instagram? There are loads of fat positive people/groups that she (or you) could follow/join where she can see women who look like her who dress well, love themselves, and are full of confidence. I've never been troubled by low self-esteem but I know a lot of women who say that filling their social media with happy, unapologetic fat folks has really helped how they see themselves. Happy to recommend a few groups/people if you like
  11. Wow, great update! It sounds like you're both happy, congrats man 👍
  12. The first milkshake has just gone down a treat - approx 800kcal of homemade ice cream, cream and milk, and he ate a large bacon and double cheese pastry with it which is around 500kcal 😍 this was after we'd had lunch, so he's eaten the equivalent of a whole extra meal! I'm going to try and make the milkshake and pastry a regular Saturday thing, an extra 1300kcal a week won't hurt 😉
  13. Thank you so much! It's nice to have an outlet to talk about this kind of stuff, to people who get it 😊
  14. Well, we have a measurement! His fat belly was getting in the way when we were having sex this morning (which was incredibly hot!) so I asked if I could measure it. 62" - up from 57.5" at the start of the year. Considering he lost weight and had to put it back on, I think that's pretty good! He's looking very round, even before having breakfast, and his size L shirts are very tight now. I didn't push to weigh him, that can wait for another time, but I did buy a celebratory box of doughnuts to feed him over the next couple of days. I'm planning to make him a nice milkshake with cream later just to test the water and see if he could get into drinking one regularly - I know some other members here have had great success with making high-calorie shakes part of their routine.
  15. Update! So we've been on lockdown for 4 (maybe 5?) weeks now, and Mr CherryPi has thrown himself into staying at home with some enthusiasm. We've been watching films, playing board games, reading books, getting stoned, and eating so much food! My clothes are getting tight and his are barely hanging on 😁 I haven't brought up weighing or measuring yet, but his belly is covering his belt buckle again so he's definitely put back on the weight he lost, and maybe a bit more. We now buy 1.2 litres of cream every week (for his cereal and desserts for both of us) and he doesn't even comment on the amount, it's the new normal. He's got into dipping biscuits (cookies) and chocolate in cream - I told him that's a really piggy thing to do and he said "Well I am a pig now" 🐷 We are very lucky that no-one we know is vulnerable or affected by the coronavirus so it has been a great time of relaxation and having fun together, and we're planning to make some permanent changes to our life so we get more downtime, and will be continuing to smoke weed. Hopefully that will ensure that my big pig is here to stay 😁
