This comes from a place of interest seeing as I compete on a national level in the sport of powerlifting, where our weights are tracked two hours before the meet begins to be below a certain upper weight limit. The questions are: do you weigh in both metric and imperial? Do you measure in both kilograms and pounds or one of either? do you weigh-in on empty (i.e, no liquids, no food) or do you weigh-in on the scales as of whenever? How often are you weighing yourself IF your intention is to gain or maintain your body size? Thank you, all. Appreciate this was an odd one.

The first week back to school had concluded, and so most of the students and teachers had returned to their homes for the weekend. The gloomy, dark blue tint of the 7am sky paired with the harsh frost conditions was about to give the school's women's soccer squad a rude awakening. For most school sports teams, unforgiving weather such as this would've been enough to retreat them to their nice warm beds, but that wasn't up to the standards of the mighty Brookside Bulldogs. The pride of their school, the Bulldogs have housed many-a-prestigious alumni and have racked up a plethora of silverware throughout their rich history. Among those accolades include a golden era in Brookside during the 1990s, where they won several National titles. They've failed to repeat those same glories in recent times but regardless, the Bulldogs are by far the most prestigious and dominant sporting school in the state of Illinois. They are recognized by many as examples of excellence and grace on and off the field, and many would tell you that none possesses these qualities on the team more than Carmen Mendez. Carmen is blessed with a perfect blend of athletic tonedness needed for high performance in any weather, and a curvaceous figure that had boys from all over school swooning over the young Latina whenever she confidently strutted her stuff down the halls. She is blessed with rich, long dark chocolate brown hair, striking brown eyes and a jawline chiseled by the Gods. Becoming leader of the soccer team wasn't as easy for Carmen as it was to seize control of a classroom. Entering the the squad three years previously as a wide-eyed freshman, Carmen had to settle with riding the bench behind Juniors and Seniors who had already staked their claim on the team sheet. She had to deal with playing second fiddle to Brookside's star player at the time, Greta Anderson, which shrunk her playing time to practically zero. But her loud personality and chip-on-her-shoulder attitude made sure that the coaches could only ignore young Carmen's pestering for so long. When the time finally came when a coach took a shot at putting Carmen in the lineup, they were shocked to see a fourteen year old girl running rings around grown adults, scoring goals almost effortlessly. Needless to say, when time came for Greta to graduate at the end of the year, the school was ready to invest everything they had into making their young prodigy into a star. The following year, with the weight of the whole school on her shoulders, Carmen grabbed the brass ring and burst onto the scene with style. With her first opportunities as a full-time starter, Carmen quickly smashed the state goalscoring record, with herself breaking her own record the next year as a Junior. The roles of her teammates transitioned primarily to subserviently providing for her, feeding the ball into Carmen at all times. All this success and special treatment only made Carmen's ego inflate even further, going from just merely popular to near royalty in the eyes of students and teacher's alike. Now eighteen a newly minted Senior, it seems only inevitable she'll fulfil the potential many of her elders believe she has; to make it pro. --- After performing a personal warm up alone on the Astroturf pitch for a few minutes, Carmen quickly grew restless of all her teammates still chit-chatting in the dressing room. Having enough, she stormed back towards the cozy building, where the squad was still in the process of getting ready. "C'mon guys! You're all late!" Carmen announced annoyedly as she whipped open the door. "Don't worry, we've already checked. The new coach hasn't arrived yet." A voice said with a cool head, trying to reassure her and the others. "Yeah don't make a big ol' scene about it!" Jenn Gardener, the lazy but loveable substitute retorted with a chuckle. The bench player's sedentary lifestyle meant she didn't have the best physique, but her bubbly attitude made her well liked by all who played with her. But Carmen didn't take the joke lightly. Being the captain of twenty or so teen girls was quite stressful, and the fact that it was freezing cold meant she was in no mood to be taking orders by some fatass. "Oh shut it, porker! If the selectors knew about all the Hershey's you've been stuffing in your gear bag you wouldn't even be in the squad to train here today!" She spewed venomously, the chatty atmosphere deflating almost instantly. Everyone began to look to Jenn, whose joyful expression had turned to utter despair as the nasty remarks hit like a ton of bricks to her fragile self esteem. Sensing all of the locker room staring at her, she dashed towards the bathrooms with some friends of hers following to check in on the audible weeping that quickly ensued. "Oh come on, she'll be fine! Her second breakfast is coming up soon, that'll cheer her up again." Carmen retorted to the concerned murmuring. The remark got a few sniggers from Carmen's little clique in the far corner, which made the little smirk the Captain was hiding behind her stern face break out. She always found joy in belittling fatties. I mean, she had it coming right? She's a total lardass, she's like, 160 pounds! She only has only herself to blame, for having no sort of self restraint or control. Remembering what someone said about the coach, Carmen decided to chill for a bit before the they arrived. She walked toward the fowl smells of tobacco coming from a reserved corner of the locker room greeting her clique-mate cronies. They snickered and giggled amongst themselves about any and all sorts of gossip they could think of. When they got onto the topic of Jenn's weight, Carmen couldn't help but think of her own mother, Gloria. "Sheesh, speaking of lardasses with no self control.." Carmen thought to herself with a grimace. "I bet Moms sitting by the fire right now, thinking of me freezing to death and laughing her ass off right now...or she could just be in bed pigging out again, ugh. I'm NEVER turning out like her." -- Carmen's Mom, Gloria Mendez, used to be the splitting image of her daughter. Brown eyes, chocolate brown hair, toned but curvy, the whole package. She was queen bee and everyone worshiped her like one. She used this power to get ahead in life, seducing nerds into doing every assignment in the syllabus, being that one classmate who did nothing in the group project, you name it. Carmen said before turning back away to her cronies, snickering amongst themselves once again as she snatched Tati's cig and began to suck up. "Sooo...Anyhoo gir-" Suddenly, all the bickering went silent as the doors fling open to find the new coach of the soccer team. The coach surveys the room seeing each girl of her squad. "Hey, you there! Turn around right now so I can get a good look at you, show some respect." The feminine voice said, strong and sternly. Freezing in shock, Carmen slowly turned around, with the cig still lodged in her lips. "Heeeyy coach!.." She croaked, dying a little inside.
