Girl I know, she used to be skinny skinny in college. Then she graduated and blew up. She doesn't post many pictures and if she does, she rarely posts a body picture, this is most revealing pic. Her skinny pics are gone.

University adjacent I guess.   A female college friend was a tallish pretty blonde in decent shape. Not skinny, but not chubby.  She got a summer job(May to September )in a small office(like 4 people).    Her boss brought in a box of a dozen donuts PLUS pastries every day.  She shows up in September 35  pounds heavier, belly, big butt, plus HUGE boobs and showing no interest in slimming back down.  Her boyfriend, who was a prick to begin with, would literally take food off her plate in restaurants because he was upset by her gain.  They broke up in a few months.   We stayed friends for quite a while and she never lost the weight, but never gained more either. I suspect her boss was a bit of an FA.

They are roughly the same size, but I have no doubt she will become the fat one soon. Her lower body is already bigger, and the rest is just as fat or otherwise catching up fast. 
That said, it actually looks like she is fatter than the other chubby waitress because her work clothes are much tighter. As I said, every bulge is visible. The other waitress dresses more "sensible".

I used to work in a big office.  A young lady in a nearby department started working there. She was a size 2(if that), and for about a year stayed the same size.   She got engaged and it was like pulling a pin on a raft.  In less than a year, I swear she was up about 80 pounds.  She looked like a different person.  No clue, what changed to cause it.  It was a long engagement and I think she lost about half of the weight before the wedding.  

From just the other day....I order pizza, go in to pick it up, and the cashier was this enormous woman. I would guess at least 250-275 if not 300, she was seriously giant. very small breasts comparatively next to her stomach, which was a huge, round double-belly. The best part is that not only is she sitting down (it must've been too exhausting for her to stand for her shifts), but she's chowing down on a chicken wing. 
She looks at me, doesn't say anything, just keeps eating. I tell her the name for the order, and she doesn't acknowledge me verbally, just starts looking at the computer screen for the order. After a minute or two, she finishes the wing, stands up, and waddles over to the back counter. Standing up revealed that her thighs and ass were just as swollen as her stomach, she was really bottom-heavy. Before she gets to my order, she grabs another wing from the counter, then heads to pick up my boxes while she's holding her food in one of her hands. She waddles back over to me, I take the boxes and thank her, and she heads back to her chair and starts working on the new chicken wing. 
Honestly, it seemed like she was pissed that I interrupted her eating. She definitely had the look of someone who had always been at least chubby, but I wonder how much weight she put on from work snacks alone....considering that she couldn't even grab a customer's order without getting something else for herself. 

She also referenced in this interview that since getting in a serious relationship and having a kid she's "let herself go," again confirming having regained some weight.

That’s really horrible. In the states at least I’ve noticed a bit of a shift in younger men being more comfortable socially. I also think it’s de stigmatized in dating a little more thanks to social media - some of my friends will just casually put “I’m a little fat” or “fatter in person” on their dating profiles and not in a shameful way.

guys she’s ballooning

Let’s hear it for all the ways you get daily reminders that your partner is big. Not talking about measurements or the scale, but more subtle and not so subtle things. My gal’s got almost 90lbs on me and even though I don’t really notice our size difference sometimes reminders creep in. 
 
Like when I get in bed, it creaks. When she gets in bed, it creaks and the bed frame/mattress moves

We have a two car garage, but it’s only big enough for our two cars. When I park on my side I have two options: hug the left and make it difficult for me to get out of the car but this gives her ample room to get in if we’re taking my car. OR I park closer to the right to give myself room to exit, but this means when we take my car she has to wait for me to back out so she can get in
 
Recently she wanted to pay a $17 upgrade fee on a plane ticket to choose a seat instead of being unassigned. I was fine with it but I noted the flight was relatively short at 80 mins. She said, “Yeah but remember, I’m a lot wider than you so being on the aisle is more comfortable.” The way she said it was so matter of fact and wasn’t negative, more just stating the obvious

Has anyone noticed fatness has become completely normalized post-pandemic? The last few years have been the biggest change in attitudes regarding weight gain in my lifetime. Women talk about and show off their bodies in a way they just didn’t during 2010’s body positivity. Young girls do not want to enable “diet culture” and deny their own  happiness. Weight gain is no longer something shameful that needs to be fought. Plus size clothing and mannequins really outnumber normal clothes sizing at stores like Target, which is definitely new.  

The biggest potential for change I think is the adoption of Universal Standard. It’s a clothing brand that advertises its size system to other labels as “the average American woman is a size 18, so why shouldn’t clothing sizes reflect that as Medium?”. It has been a successful online ad campaign and I have genuinely heard more than one girl make that point in my friend group. 

Something else I’ve noticed is that it is no longer culturally mocked for men to date fat women. I know multiple skinny guys who openly date fat girls and I think it’s not stigmatized for guys in general to do “locker room boys talk” about fat girls.
I was recently in a trendy bar in a “skinnier” state and I noticed for the first time there were more fat girls there than skinny hipster girls. There were traditionally good looking guys openly flirting with fat girls in front of skinnier women. My friend whispered to me “I can’t believe guys like big girls now.” 
 
Where do you think this can go? I can’t imagine what else can be done. Maybe plane seats becoming bigger?

Shame this thread died out, plus she's been gone from our screen for a few months now, thought it was worth sharing this pic plus caption from her insta a few weeks ago 

I saw a friend for the first time in nearly 10 years yesterday. When I originally knew her, she was always on the thicker side - busty, wide hips, meat on her bones, you get the idea. If I had to throw out a guess, she’s probably about 5’5, and at the time she was maybe 150 pounds.
Yesterday was a whole other story. Her face has rounded out and gotten huge, and her boobs, belly, and ass has all grown in kind. She was wearing a loose fitting shorts and shirt outfit, but her body found a way to leave nothing to the imagination. Her belly’s obviously a hanging bowling ball, while her ass acts as an equal and opposite counterweight.
Walking from her car to my place (about 75 steps), her gait resembles more of a shuffle, and by the time we got there, she was gasping for breath, and needed sit for 30 minutes before we could head out again. 
If I had to guess, she’s had to have gained 75-100 pounds. Another friend of mine is 5’1 and 200 pounds, and looks svelte in comparison, so 225-250 sounds reasonable to me. 
I’ll add more of it turns out we hang out again. Happy to answer questions if I can.

I had a conversation with a friend tonight, and he was talking about a girl he had a loose relationship with. He wanted to show me a picture of her, and pulled her up on Instagram. Word for word, he said “she used to be a lot more attractive, but she got kinda chubby when she moved away to college.” Not sure about you guys, but I think she looks incredible 🤷‍♂️

At a wedding and was talking to a friend, she said “I used to have a jean jacket I loved to wear but my arms got too big for it.” I joked that it’s because she was pumping so much iron, but her response was “No, it was from eating too much”
Later on I took a photo of a different friend with her boyfriend. They’ve been together 1-1.5 years, he was already overweight and living together has clearly helped her put on probably 20 pounds. She had a nice round gut in the picture that was very noticeable, and when I handed the phone back she said “Oh my god I look pregnant!” In total disbelief. To be fair, she did!
