  1. I came across this which I posted in March 2008 - brought back some interesting and familiar feelings. Apologies for the purple prose, I think I originally wrote this for myself as a 'stream of consciousness' which I then posted.
  2. It's still Adriana Lima, but thought I'd switch out the old for the new.
  3. Musing on this I wonder whether men become more comfortable with it for 3 reasons: More confidence in their own view More women of their own age being in the larger range Their own size having most likely increased For me, I think being on this site skewed my preferences upwards because "normal" here is bigger than elsewhere. I imagine this is no different to people buying into mass market imagery. I found I didn't like that feeling, so I don't come here as much and have actively stopped looking at the pictures. It might not work for everyone, but I've found myself drifting back to where I was several years ago and I like the feeling of not being influenced by exposure to one kind of image. In particular, it's allowed me to see the sexiness of thinner women which I've not been able to do for a while (I've found them 'attractive' on a superficial level). This alone has greatly increased my enjoyment of Battlestar Galactica whilst also being able to enjoy Mad Men. EDIT. I should add that it seems to me that any niche interest will become more intense as you delve deeper into it, whether that is very thin women, cars or sports.
  4. Slim or chubby for me. I don't mind athleticism, but "built" women aren't my thing. I did once have a thing with a girl with strong thighs and it didn't bother me. So, neutral at best maybe.
  5. I agree with this sentiment, although I'd like to clarify that they were never value judgements - just terms to help people understand the size range of a woman. In that regard, it's not too dissimilar to apple or pear, which - let's face it - aren't entirely accurate words either.
  6. That's correct. Although, worth noting that the previous structure was driven by how members wanted to access different types of content. We don't have to be rigid to the old system if a new system works better.
  7. I'm not sure... It might be outmoded. When you glorify the past, the future dries up. I'll think on it. That's true. I just liked knowing there was a "guideline" for these sorts of things. I actually liked that terminology for a woman rather than just BBW or SSBBW. Kinda sounded very exotic. =) But I also would like to see some of the previous stickies come back as well as I'm sure others have enjoyed other stickies. I do recall that a very popular one was the Laban Sticky. As great as Laban and his threads were, that sticky was essentially a list of women conforming to a vague set of ideals. Firstly, I don't see a need to replicate the content (as that is the primary purpose of most of the forum); secondly I'm not personally in favour of stickied content threads - if they're popular they'll stay on the first page.
  8. I'm not sure... It might be outmoded. When you glorify the past, the future dries up. I'll think on it.
  9. Game still tha game... Game just got more fierce.
  10. I think my implementation of The Abyss was in fact my greatest contribution to this forum. It is an essential element.
  11. I'm Serendipity. The old timers will remember me, my preferences, my photos and my balanced view. My interest in this forum, 'the scene' and the preference itself had severely waned in the past couple of years, so interested to see how things develop.
  12. Let's see if there is a true first-mover advantage at play.
  13. Isolated "necroposts" should not result in bans, and I don't know if anyone has been banned for that. The situation before those rules was incredibly annoying to moderate, as well.
  14. They're in the post apparently.
  15. In response to your second point, life or disinterest, lol. I've found that being an active member is so time consuming that I can't see how anyone with a job, kids, interests etc. could possibly manage. That goes especially for mods.
  16. Apologies for laughing, but you pretty much chose the worst time in the past 8 years to join this site, as all of the content has just disappeared!
  17. Damn, seems like just yesterday I was formulating the site layouts and listening to all the complaints. Now people are trying to replicate it! Still, I think all of the subdivisions will look a bit silly without content to fill them, on the other hand a good structure from Day 1 makes sense. I wasn't going to register, as my interest in all things "curvage" has severely waned, but a fresh start might be what everyone needs. Still, I've gone with a new avatar - I think 5 years was long enough for the previous one...
