hiro Posted August 15, 2015 Share Posted August 15, 2015 I just watched the most recent two free vids and her "spark" is still there. Try to see it from her perspective. YouTube used to make things real easy. She put her energy into making free vids for us. Now she has to set up her own site and everything is more of a hassle. Why should she even bother? Well, if she can make money, it is worth her time. Our attention isn't worth THAT much. Hardly anyone puts up vids when it is a hassle. We are just lucky to get anything for free. She could just disappear again. You can download the videos. Spend a little less time complaining and a little more time learning how to solve problems. I use FlashGot. I just don't like the new website. Awful video player, no descriptions on the videos themselves(partly due to player I guess?) and you can't even download the videos for smooth playback because (?), yet you can download her monetized ones? Bullshit. I haven't watched many of her new videos yet I do get what your saying, it does feel like she lost her personality/spark that was so unique to her. Youtube's apparently become more hostile towards her than it used to be, but she's not given up when it would be way easier just to do so. I definitely have problems with the new video player, but I'm mostly just glad she's still doing something. She's definitely got the same as before, now she doesn't have Youtube breathing down her neck. Definitely like the whole 'featured story' promotion, but I'm biased because I'm a writer and am getting three free videos from her store. hiro, thanks for the FlashGot recommendation. She's using Weebly, that might be a default thing they do with stores, I don't know, but it's pretty damn easy just to input random letters. Shut the fuck up and be happy she's still producing content. As for the 'we used to get more' argument, no, we fucking didn't, not in terms of interaction. I've been watching Chubby since her original channel. We got more in her updates early on because Youtube wasn't taking her down and she didn't have a way to sell videos. We didn't have a way of chatting with her directly, which is dang big considering she'll answer in text form all the questions you might have. The personal quality's stronger than ever, considering it's the difference between legit interaction and a fucking computer monitor. As to the complaint of consistancy, let me repeat, fucking college. She's being assigned research papers and shit. That comes before making fap material available to a bunch of internet people. Sorry for the language, I just get enraged at fuckstucks who use the term 'white knight,' like viewing a model as a human being is the same as thinking she needs our fucking protection from people saying mean things. Wording is everything. There is a huge difference between a positive message showing some appreciation and at the end of it insert that constructive criticism; and another message which only says "yeah, it's dissapointing.." (or whatever). That kind of message feels sooo mean. A little bit of emphaty would be great. Imagine that you are CGV and everytime you step here there are only messages complaining about shit like the 20 seconds you must spend in order to see the videos, blaming her because the speed of her website, because the updates are not as frequent as in the past month, etc. The elements of your complaint maybe true, but I really think that is very petty and miserly to complain about that when she is giving us so much. At least show some love before rant about that little details, it won't kill you and the whole vibe would be much more possitive. Not talking about you but in general, I've always felt that this girl never got here the appreciation she deserves. I guess people haven't forgiven her for trying to make money from this and they yearn the old youtube days, when they could have all her material for free. So the only things you see here are complaints about stupid/small details and only few grateful messages for all the free material and stuff she is still giving away. When i try to open them i get an error message saying "Error -2048: Couldn't open the file (name).mp4 because it is not a file that Quicktime understands." Guys, I am trying my very best to be accommodating. As of right now, I will not be making any more changes to my website. I've learned that changing my website to make some people happy ends up pissing other people off. I feel my website is best as it is now, and is accommodating to the most people, so it will not change unless I can think of something better. And by something better, I mean something that will help the majority of people. Please realize... The vast majority of my website visitors prefer the faster website, and don't mind putting in "sdakfnhsdalj;k" in the contact field information. People were CONSTANTLY emailing me, complaining about my website lag- and now the complaint mail has gone way down. Some people don't like the changes, but I would say that's only about 10 percent or less of my website visitors. I don't want to undo my website changes to appease the minority, because then the majority will once again get angry. I don't know how much more complaint emails I can handle.
