Guest tails3
I see a glimmer of sunshine for our friends in Washington. It looks like Seattle has effectively passed a "clean your plate" law. Let's hope that the law of unintended consequences plays out in our communities favor and Seattle gets to enjoy obesity rates usually reserved for the South. http://m.seattlepi.com/local/article/New-Seattle-law-No-more-food-in-trash-5983805.php

OscarWinner
um...no. this is a law to basically fuck over homeless people I know, right. They don't have plates to clean, so now they have to buy some. But with what money? Ugh, sucks.
Guest pangzi
It might also have something to do with the fact that the average american household wastes at least 25% of their food.
S77
This is an awful, horrible thing. It's another example of ridiculous utopians and their outlandish ideals. This is overreaching government. This is oppressive government. Seems like now days there is a bureaucrat around every corner, reaching their dirty, money sucking hands into the very fabric of our daily lives. So many people go around talking about "Freedom" They fail to ask themselves, freedom from what? The answer is supposed to be Freedom from the government. We peasants are tired of the kings men poking us in the ass with a stick and demanding all of our coins. TL:DR; This law is abysmal!

S77
I guess something like this already happens in San Francisco. Apparently in SF you have to compost all the food waste. This might be something similar in Seattle.
