I'm in America, so my experience is probably very different from yours. Chicks over here are still fatter than ever, but it's kinda come to a hault. The body positivity movement has died out over the past couple of years, but people here don't seem to realize that the internet does not reflect reality. At least not usually. It's very easy to get a very loud minority on the internet that makes it seem like a lot more people are for something than in reality. I don't think the majority of people cared about body positivity. In fact, I'd say most people probably found it annoying. It started off as something quite reasonable. People with disabilities and deformations shouldn't be discriminated against. Yeah, that makes sense. The next thing you know, you got some overweight chicks that are saying "hey, we want society to accept us." Not quite what the body positivity movement was about, but sure. That's still fair. You can join the movement. Then, as most social trends do, it started to spiral out of control. Over the years, more and more people started joining the movement, and with that comes some more extreme ideas. I started seeing chicks who were 300-400 pounds claiming they were perfectly healthy and were just as sexy and beautiful as super models. Now, I'm of course attracted to bigger chicks. I have my type, but it's just my type. I still understand that getting to that size has some serious health risks, and people shouldn't just deny the reality of it. Nor should I be comparing the super big girls that I like to the traditionally adored super model types. They're just two different things, and the reality is guys are just naturally attracted to the skinnier model types. There isn't anything wrong with that. It is what it is. Basically, I suspect that many people started seeing how extreme the body positivity movement had gotten and just had enough. Most people are average joes like me. With that being said, I still think we accept chubbier girls in society now. We're not getting any skinnier. Any girls I see losing weight are just getting to a healthier weight. Not super model skinny. Some are still kinda chubby, but that's it. They're not morbidly obese, and they're happy that way. And I'll cheer them on. Good for you guys. That's all I've got to say. See ya.
