    I suppose - much like any country - how expensive really depends on where. Sydney would be top of the tree for cost of living, mainly because if you have something like an average income you can only really afford to live on the very outskirts of the city which means you then spend a hell of a lot on commuting. I think overall, cost of living in Australia is a lower than the US but a little higher than Canada - 3% or so.

    We've got you covered down here in Western Australia. This state is roughly 10 times the size of the entire UK. For even more perspective, we're 4 times the size of Texas. And just to ram the point home fully, Western Australia is larger than the entire landmass of Western Europe. 37 hours drive - non-stop - from the southern-most point to the northern-most. And yet, less than 3 million people reside here.
