-1990’s sitcoms actress balloons!-

 

Gina Parker was an American model/actress most well known for her work on hit ABC sitcom “Family Bonds”, where she played the attractive oldest daughter ‘Hayley’.

Gina got her start modelling for various fitness magazines and getting acting roles in commercials in the late 1980’s. And in 1991, she would land the role of her life after only 18 months after starting her career.

”Family Bonds” would prove to be a massive success in its first season, launching Gina’s rise to prominence as America’s newest sex symbol. She adorned the walls of countless teenage boys and was even offered the cover of Playboy, however declined at the request of the show runners.

By the shows 3rd season, the shows creators and producers decided to no longer portray the character of Hayley as a ‘sex symbol’ or as the shows eye-candy in response to considerable bad press the show had received regarding the ways the show was perceived to objectify women, citing the Hayley character as a prime culprit.

After this change, Gina was forbidden from modelling or posing for magazines which could be seen as sexual. As a accidental result, Gina Parker slowly started to gain weight over the coming seasons.

The actress, with less and less need and pressure to maintain her once slim physique Gina slowly started gaining 15-20lbs during the filming of season 3 and 4. With many press outlets praising the actress for bucking conventional beauty standards. Which as it would seem, would reinforce Gina’s decision to focus on her acting rather than her appearance. Resulting in Gina further gaining weight through the season 4 off season, as well as season 5, by which time Gina Parker had reportedly gained close to 100+lbs 

By the time Family Bonds was in its 6th season, Gina had continued to steadily put on the pounds reaching 300+. Concern for the actress grew amongst the cast and crew, as her weight had spiralled out of control and cast members who were on the show with Parker from the beginning couldn’t believe what the once beautiful actress had done to herself.

As Family Bonds began to slowly decline in viewership over the years, leading into the shows 7th and 8th seasons (which would be the shows last), the show runners were unsure what to do with Gina Parker and the Hayley character. They had exhausted all possible options to get her to lose the weight, with Gina continuing to balloon until reaching well over 500lbs by the time filming on season 7 had wrapped.

There were talks of killing off the Hayley character due to the logistics of having Gina Parker on set were beginning to becoming increasingly difficult due to her size. This was shut down due to the cast bolstering around Parker, with her co-star Amy Gillmore stating “It just wouldn’t be fair, if she goes we go…” and “we started this together, and it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t finish together”.

Going into the 8th season, Gina’s weight had continued to climb and the actress was speculated to weigh anywhere from 600-700lbs. Her scenes were greatly reduced in this season due to her inability to film for long periods of time because of the strain on her body. However, she managed to give an amazing performance and a fitting end to such a beloved family sitcom.

Gina Parker has not acted since Family Bonds, with the actress rarely making any public appearances or leaving her private Beverly Hills residence.

Her daughter, Emily Parker-Jones has spoken to TMZ in June and updated that her mother is doing very well and is living a happy life. 
Gina’s daughter Emily is a budding young actress and model herself, with the young stunner recently performing a guest spot on “LA Beach Dream”. It begs the question if Emily’s career could have a similar trajectory as her mothers?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

A midjourney sequence I tried out,

 

Server blows up at work, seemingly having zero self-control over pigging out on discounted bar food...

 

She was fit and in good shape when she first got hired, she was a hit with the bar.

But that would soon change as she began to snack on the restaurants leftover deserts in between rushes... it was starting to show.

Her once toned figure began to grow. Enticed by the 60% discount on the restaurants food, she just couldn't help herself.

Oblivious to the fact that she had outgrown uniform after uniform, she continued to eat during and after work. Her habit only continued to expand her now soft waistline.

Her weight had spiralled out of control, her figure had been ruined by her insatiable appetite. At this point she had been promoted to supervisor and was able to eat whatever she wanted whenever she wanted.... but she had clearly been doing that before the promotion.

Over the course of 2 years, she had eaten herself into obesity. The near-constant fried food and deserts had taken its toll on this once fit waitress. As employees came and went, the new ones would never had guessed that their supervisor had once been a third of the size.
