  1. Yes, a girl with that past can be a great partner. I think it heavily depends on their relationship with food and body image. My girlfriend was generally heavier growing up, with relatively short periods of extreme weight loss. When we met, she was about 112 lbs (51 kg) at 5'3 with a strict workout schedule and consistent diet. She alternated gym workouts and outdoor runs (4-8 miles) every day. She had visible abs and toned legs. A little over two years later, my girlfriend is a little over 30 lbs (14 kg) up and looking incredible. She still works out, which is great for my preferred body type, but she focuses primarily on lifting heavy weight. She is carrying a lot of extra fat on her, but she built a considerable amount of muscle as well, particularly in her lower half. This extra strength allows her to still run long distances albeit slower and maintain a somewhat athletic body shape. Her legs are still fairly toned despite the bulk of her weight accumulating on her butt, hips, inner thighs, and midsection. Her athletic ability as well as my obvious sexual attraction to her has helped her love herself and enjoy food. She loves to eat, so my preferences only strengthen our relationship, allowing her to relax and enjoy life. Her health is important to me, so I will not encourage her to gain too much weight (thinking 180 lbs (82 kg)). She has no intentions of slowing her gain though.
