My two cents, I've dealt with generalized anxiety before, so I know it exists, but I can also say sometimes anxiety exists for a reason. I've known a few girls who said all the right things but made me feel, weird. Turns out they were off in one way or another. Most often they didn't know how to validate emotionally or were overly judgmental. Sometimes they simply weren't comfortable being themselves without controlling their emotions. I was never scared or felt I had to prove anything around the good ones. I say pay attention to your feelings and if the anxiety persists beyond a normal time frame, ask why.
