Few days ago. Wanna keep this forum going. 

My girlfriend is in a nursing program at university and she is required to wear scrubs to clinicals. This semester, she’s had to switch from Large to XL bottoms. I saw her texting a friend last night saying “I need to buy more XL pants because they’re not as tight on my gut. When I bend over in my old pants I can hear the seams ripping”. She’s certainly gained weight since high school. Probably 40 pounds in the past 2 and a half years. 

Had a customer come through the drive thru today and she was large. Big chunky belly and very wide hips. Her stomach was so big it was touching the steering wheel. At first she ordered the biggest meal we have, and then proceeded to change her mind and downgrade. Her reasoning was “Been eating a little too good recently and now my pants are tight”. I was shocked by the statement, but it was amazing. 

She returned after her pregnancy in June 2023, looking like she had lost a little but still big and beautiful.
but now she is pregnant again (due in May) and on her to being as big as ever. I can't wait to see how big she grows during this pregnancy.
 

This is about a colleague of mine, let's call her Sue. Like me, she is in her forties. We have had some conversations about stuff like holiday weight gain before, but I did not pay much attention, because she was slim, or slightly chubby at the most. This has changed, quite pleasantly, with her new boyfriend. She has not become fat, but certainly a bit overweight, with a sizeable ass. I am pretty sure she had to buy several new pants. We had an outing with some physical activity (a fairly long hike), from which Sue backed out at short notice. She wrote that it was because she was busy, and I frankly had not made the connection to her weight gain until a conversation a few days later. "It was quite a long and steep hike." Me: "But you did similar hikes in the past". "Yes, but with 10 kilos less." Then I realized what she meant and smiled to myself when she walked away, looking at her hips. That extra weight, although not a huge gain, would certainly have made the trip quite tough for her.

I remember a few who gained weight. 

The first was a teacher in the senior forms. Being the early 2000s, she was fairly standard-sized for the times: approx. 5 ft 9 in and 70 kg (154 lb) and she tended to wear denim most days: a loose jacket and belted jeans. In truth, I didn't notice her beyond the at times erratic behaviour she showed when someone disobeyed her, but by the time she taught my class, several years later, she had plumped up. I remember how the trace of her second chin had gone from being an accompaniment to her smile to becoming permanent; and how the denim jacket seemed to ride higher up her body than before - her hips having thickened with time - and the buttons were now a vanity. For want of a better description, she had the appearance of soft serve ice cream in a cone: thicker in the middle. She had a habit of recounting her days as a dancer, which in light of how she looked at the time, not to mention the ill-fitting clothing, made it hard to concentrate. Yet what made it harder still was when she'd sit on the edge of my desk to talk to the student in front of me and I would be only inches away from her fat behind. 

The other teacher took psychology, a subject I didn't study but had friends who did. Most of my peers idolised her, for she was tall, athletic-looking, blonde and, so it seemed, American (exotic to a suburban school in England). Because I was not in the class, I missed whatever magic she cast over my friends, so she fell into that vague space which, when prompted, elicits an 'oh, yes, her!' and the conversation summarily ends. As a result, however, there was this teacher I did notice. She was quite tall, sandy-haired with auburn coming through at the ends, and she spoke with an accent. But she was fat! Fat in the sumptuous way that softens the entire body and looks perfect joggling all over as she crosses the yard. And the way she buttoned her cardigans over her belly, well now. . .

Going through my 'awakening' and being fairly shy, I at once could not help but watch as she went by - but only if it was through stolen glances or other surreptitious means. Not that she'd notice, of course. Who was this new teacher, I thought. The answer came one day later on, when one of the more candid friends in my group said of nothing, 'You know Miss J? Yeah, she's really fat now. Don't know what happened.' 

Another friend, the one who I suspect shared my preference but I couldn't be sure, said something about her being on maternity leave the past year. We then joked at my candid pal's ignorance in not seeing it, if that was the reason. Whatever, it was one of the first times I realized how shallow my friend could be, but more importantly, how captivating the contrast between the 'Before' and 'After' mental images was. And I don't mean simply physically, either; she was this bright sparkling woman I didn't recall existing in the past.

My wife’s office friends all keep each other fat with treats and keep each other smoking. If one tries to quit, they all peer pressure into failing. I don’t get it.

Some more new screenshots

Have noticed similar this past week. First was a trio of quite tall, sturdy women from one of the local offices, out for lunch. Because it has been quite hot of late, they were all wearing loose linen clothing - pretty dresses, blazers or blousons - and the northerly breeze blew against them as they walked, revealing in the case of the biggest, a large visible belly outline. Consulting the various 'belly shape guides' posted here over the years, I would say it was closest to 'super chubby', only bigger. She, like the other two, went by in a purposeful waddle. They all seemed to be having a great time and it was lovely to see. 

Then there was another woman - again in linen, again quite tall - who crossed past me in the car park. I first noticed her when she decided to shoot out in front of my car despite it being quite sudden and somewhat risky. It was searingly hot so, maybe, it made sense. But she moved rather slowly and in a manner suggestive of 'Oof, it's too hot to be out today,' letting her belly lead her along. I saw her again later, a few yards ahead of me down the ramp to the shops. By now her linen shirt was untucked and she had unbuttoned it, revealing a white tank top that rode up and showed off the small of her back, quite fleshy, and a frayed elastic waistband of her striped linen trousers. I went by. She was talking on her phone and eating a Mars bar of all things (strange for such a hot day, I thought) and seemed peeved her friend/colleague was late. But the chocolate was needed, I reasoned as she became another voice in the background, because most of her speech was stifled by mouthfuls of Mars. Another uninhibited woman.

Just a lovely observation which I think is becoming more common. Yummy mummy in her late thirties on the train with some friends for a Christmas weekend away. I’d clocked her nice big bottom in tight white trousers as they got on.  It’s a really hot train and she took her jumper off and put it on her lap, obviously trying to cover her midriff. A little later she stands to go to the loo, and when she comes back she surreptitiously undoes her button on her jeans as she sits down and puts the jumper back over the jeans. The jumper slips from time to time and she’s got a nice thick belly roll. Clearly put on some Christmas pounds. Nothing too extreme but a pretty curvy woman getting a little chubby.

my suspicion is cus of this, where there was a photo that rly showed just how fat shes getting, where shes bursting out the zip and spilling over the waist of these jeans, her huge fat roll lifting her top up
