i personally have been wary of it because weight loss drugs have a bit of a history of needing to be withdrawn for severe adverse health effects (1) (2) (3) (4)
i did a little research and found that a drug belonging to the same class as ozempic was associated with an increased risk of thyroid cancer and pancreatitis in some (not all) studies and that the eu is putting out a call for more research into such potential effects
neither of those things are definite 100% indicators that ozempic and related drugs will give you cancer or pancreatitis, but they are pretty big red flags and future research may result in ozempic going the way of fen-phen
theres also the fact that if/when you decide to stop taking the drug the effects come to a stop and you gain the weight back - that's been established already. and you may have good reason to stop it because of the not-serious-but-still-shitty side effects.
and i havent heard anything about this specific to ozempic and the like but with a lot of drugs the side effect of reduced appetite will fade with time as your body adjusts to its presence and makes changes within itself to create a "new normal". i could go into more detail but this is a fat fetish site i doubt anyone cares lol
