Garlic Orange Glazed Salmon
Salmon can even boost your brain. Salmon is packed with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin B12 in addition to selenium and choline. All of the above are linked to improving brain function, cognition, and neurological health.
Ingredients
Salmon filet
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic about 2-3 cloves
zest of 1 orange
sliced onion
juice of 2 oranges about 1/3 cup
Directions: Preheat oven to 425° and line a sheet pan with foil.
Rub top of salmon with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic and season and salt each filet with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, top with onions and orange slices and bake 6-8 minutes.
While salmon is baking, combine butter and garlic in a sauce pan over medium heat and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the orange zest and orange juice. Cook for another 3 minutes.
Remove salmon from the oven, plate and top with garlic orange sauce.
