I wanted to make a different kind of story. Instead of a narrative that is told through paragraphs and sentences, I decided to tell a story through a text message thread. This is the story of Mike and Sasha, who just matched on Tinder. They already exchanged pleasantries on the app, so that's why they're so direct via text. I tried to make it look somewhat realistic. I used Photoshop to make it look like they're texting back and forth. Please give it a chance. And I hope you enjoy it!

I'm looking to role play with someone who's willing to play an app developer at a startup. You're an app developer whose breakthrough app can alter people's BMI (body mass index). The app essentially makes people (exclusively women) gain weight through a slider. The slider goes up to a BMI of 100. The person using the app first uploads a full-body selfie, then sets the BMI they'd like to go up to. The app's effects are temporary and only last 24 hours. In this role play, we'd be a couple. You'd be the app developer. And, your app goes famous and becomes a TikTok trend almost overnight. But there's just one issue: the app's effects stop being temporary. You and I figure this out one night after we use it to plump you up to a 100 BMI. You notice that after 24 hours, the effects don't wear off. People begin frantically messaging you, telling you the same thing. You and I become afraid that we've permanently changed many people's weights and sizes.

After a goodnight call, she falls asleep ready to face her last shift at work before they leave. When she wakes up, she's in for the shock of her life when her bikini ready body is gone and replaced with a soft doughy layer of fat. It shouldn't be possible to grow that much overnight, but she did. She frantically gets out of bed, running to her closet to try and get her scrubs on for work to find that she can't fit in them at all now. Sure I had gained weight and felt like a huge fat cow, but I was positive no one had noticed yet. I mean, yeah I'm always hungry and my clothes have been getting tighter but I thought it was no big deal. That is until my best friend decides to tell me (while I'm eating a pan of macaroni and cheese) that she thinks I've got fat. And she thinks everyone else thinks so too! Plus she actually accuses me of eating like a pig all the time. That little bitch. She's no one to talk! Her ass has gotten huge. Between being so hungry I ate all that pasta, guzzling down a soda, and getting into a fight with her, I'm a mess. My belly bloats up like a balloon. Burping helps but it is so big, round, and hard that it hurts pretty bad stuffed into my tight clothes. After kicking her fat ass out I can finally unzip my way to small jeans and let my growing ball belly out. But even that's not enough as my shirt is super tight too and has to go. Man, am I really this huge? My gut is now so massively bloated that I guess I really do have to admit to myself that I have gained weight. I've gotten fat! Not just a little fatter either, I've gained a ton of weight! Maybe I have truly gained the 45 pounds that my friend's scale said. I didn't want to believe it. But, I have been a pig.
