I wanna say what you're doing is a form of intermittent fasting, which is a powerful tool for weight loss; not gaining. I would suggest eating through out the day as normal, starting near to when you wake up, and consuming most of your calories near to when you go to sleep. The larger the eating window, the more you can eat throughout the day.
