I just got back from being out of town, and the net went down where I was staying and never came back in the whole two weeks. (Got stood up TWICE by CenturyLink.) I drove like a nut all over town trying to find the net so I could get my work done. But after I accepted it, it was fine. I wrote three poems and a 1,500-word story, with no distractions. (email, fat girls, headlines.) My phone also went down because I ran out of access despite paying the bill so for two days I had NOTHING. It was inconvenient but what are ya gonna do? You can't live your life bitching over everything. "This is a problem, it'll get solved eventually." The net rules for two things - the maps and the ability to quickly call for help if you're sick or injured. Other than that, pretty sure it's mostly a colossal waste of time that could be better spent on other, more productive things.

K.D. and I met last May up at the top of a mountain. She and her lover were up there in an RV. haha, my BFF quit smoking last year and now she has two rolls of back fat. I would NEVER tell her, but it's nice to see every time she turns around. Curiously, she is skinny everywhere else, the fat went right to her back. Very tall, too - 5'10.

This is more complicated than what I thought from the headline - and God bless you for sticking by her - it is rough for fat women, both out in public and in their heads. I had a GF three years ago whom I met at a club and took out for lunch. We had a couple more dates that ended up hugs. At the end of the third date I asked "Do you mind if I touch your belly?" She was fat with a big stomach. She giggled and said, "No, go for it!" Loved loved loved. However, she was very young and from a different culture and i didn't lay any of my OCD fat obsession on her, I knew we wouldn't stay together for a variety of reasons. But she got in my bed and said "I put on weight, lol...I'm 225 pounds now!" I was explosively turned on but very, very reluctant to encourage her to get fatter, which, in the context of a LTR or marriage, would have been a different story. So I kept my mouth shut. We're not together any more, and over Christmas, when we talked for about an hour on the phone while I was on the road, she told me she lost 40 pounds because of a serious medical condition, I forget what it was, but it required surgery. "It's better for my knees," she said, and I'm happy for her, if being 225 pounds caused her physical pain.
