omg! Did you have to diet to stay that thin or were you always naturally skinny? Do you feel like you have to force yourself to eat to gain or do you just follow your natural cravings?

So glad to hear that you have so much support! What about your family? Have they noticed your weight gain and made any comments about it?

I feel bad for the women with fast metabolisms who have to force themselves to eat even when they aren't hungry just to gain. It's far more enjoyable to just give in to your natural appetite and indulge your cravings than to force feed yourself even though you don't even feel like eating. I give those types of gainers a lot of credit.

OMG ! First I never thought she'd gain intentionally, now she surprises us with this -what more could we ask for lol

Hey Candii! I hope you're feeling better and are fully recovered from being sick. I was so impressed by the amount of food you were able to consume while in the midst of your illness! I expected you to take it easy for at least a week or two, so I was blown away by your enthusiasm even while under the weather. I hope you had a great time at Disneyland=)

The problem with mass gainers is that they're expensive and contain a lot of ingredients that you don't even need, like excess protein and creatine, etc. You can easily make your own shakes at home for a fraction of the cost using natural ingredients. Bodybuilders usually use whole milk, peanut butter, olive oil, ground oats, bananas, etc. If you were open to using heavy cream one of those shakes could easily get up to thousands of calories lol

It seems like every time I see a new photo she is noticeably fatter - what an incredible gain!

Feeder Gone Wrong
Gusto commented on Cassandra Craves's blog entry in Curvage Model Cassandra Craves's Blog
There are a lot of guys pretending to be feeders in this community. So sorry you had to go through that. Hope you find a real feeder soon!- 9 comments

GF hitting a plateau in her gaining efforts
Gusto replied to no-caps's topic in Lifestyle Discussion
This is great news indeed - can't wait to see how it goes! -
I'd recommend drinking the cream before bed after you've already eaten all your food for the day, otherwise you might feel too full to eat. Cream is very high in fat and thus extremely satiating.

Those TDEE calculators are relatively accurate (that one ssbbwlove just posted is awesome!), but always good to view the number as just an estimated starting point. The weekly weigh-ins and measurements will let you know if you need to eat more food to gain. Sometimes you have to put "Very Active" instead of sedentary if you have a fast metabolism. Weight fluctuates wildly at the start of a gain too, and there's often a period where the body overcompensates and tries to burn off the excess calories that can last anywhere from a few weeks to a month or more - But then suddenly one day you'll wake up much fatter once your metabolism gets used to the increased calorie intake and surrenders.

The best thing to do is surround yourself with your favorite foods so you can fulfill all of your cravings as they arise. If just following your natural appetite doesn't work, then you can get a little more scientific with it and start keeping track of how much you're eating. It's really helpful to plug in your stats into a TDEE calculator to see how many calories you need just to maintain your weight. It's also useful to keep close track of your food intake for at least a month just to make sure you're eating enough. If you're used to eating 2,000 calories a day, you can try eating between 2200 to 2500 calories for a week and see if you gain. If you don't see results, try adding another 200 calorie snack each day and then readjust as needed at the end of the week. The key is to slowly increase caloric intake each week until you hit your desired rate of gain. A lot of new gainers utilize shakes because it can be hard to get used to eating so much food at first. There are lots of recipes for high calories shakes, both healthy versions and more rich and decadent ones (Milkshakes made with heavy cream, 'cake shakes', and shakes made with healthy, nutrient-dense ingredients are all equally effective). It's really easy to get 1,000 to 3,000 calories in a single shake. Going the shake route is also more cost effective, as you can just eat the way you are used to eating and not have to spend more money on food apart from a few shake ingredients.
