Aha, I too have Kaspersky. Kudos for figuring out that was the culprit. For the record though, it stopped being a problem for me. I recently uninstalled and upgraded to 2013. I thought it was a coincidence that the problem went away, but I guess not. What version of Kaspersky are you running?
I'm normally using Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows 7. Shift and reload didn't help unfortunately, but thanks for that suggestion. I tried Internet Explorer, but I get the same result.
Edit: Spoke too soon. Didn't realize it was happening with regular images too.
