Like the title says. Just throwing it out there. Some threads just become so huge and tedious to browse, like honestly I don't care in 'jimmy123' has something to say in a thread, I really don't. Fuck you jimmy. *Note 'jimmy' is just an example - No jimmies were disregarded in the making of this post.

Photos are normally square is my counter point, Also I believe (based on what I've seen) that most people have not changed their photos over to the round format. Or at least a bunch of them do not appear to properly formatted for the round shape. The round format cuts out otherwise present detail, for example I've been using album covers as my picture for a long time, but in the round format the edges and corners are cut off. To use the round format properly kind of limits what sort of photo you can use, the subject must be centred, the edges must be disregarded. To me it just feels like an arbitrary restriction.

I realize square pictures are being used now, but SuperJ just changed it because I asked. So it's only temporary unless this poll makes permanent.

Before Curvage was relaunched recently, Square profile pictures were used. Now round pictures are used. I asked SuperJ about the ability to change the shape and he said it must be one or the other site wide. To determine which shape is preferable to the users of Curvage, he suggested creating a poll, so please vote! An example of both shapes:

hmmm well since it's a site wide option, maybe you should put it to a vote. I like the square pictures, because they can contain slightly more detail vs. a round one. As for being more modern well, I guess it's in vogue to have round pics on quite a few sites, but idk some bandwagons are overrated. Of course at the end of the day it's your website and ultimately up to you.

So since my question wasn't answered: Will square profile pictures ever be an option or no?

I just prefer square.
