I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of you that have replied here. I’ve spent my whole life hating myself, ashamed of myself, missing out on experiences in life because I didn’t want to be noticed. I didn’t know there existed such accepting people in the world and in the short time I’ve been here, I can honestly say the confidence I’ve gained has carried over in to my every day life. So… thank you all for being such lovely examples of what we should all be. -

I had really absent parents and I think my mother showed her love through food and cooking. Especially as I’m getting older, I’m recognizing that in myself. It pleases me greatly to feed someone, to go out of my way to show a bit of my love for a person by making them something incredible to eat and then watching them get stuffed and happy. I know that whatever crazy shit that is going on in their life, at least I could give them something wholesome.

I’m sorry. It’s hard. I remember when I wasn’t able to do much at 425lbs. Everything always hurt and walking from the end of a parking lot gave me anxiety. Something so simple. Wishing her a quick recovery!
