Thanks for sharing this with us. 99% percent of these forums are about fantasies and I appreciate every little bit about actual long term relationships. I'm going through something similiar. We've been together with my wife for 20 years but it was only a year ago or so when I decided to tell her everything about the fetish stuff. Reading your posts I felt like I was reading about my life. My wife is also going through a rollercoaster between self acceptance and self loathing. Since our second pregancy she got a plump protruding belly which never disappeared and gained some more afterwards. She's also physically unable to loose weight because of hypothyroidism. I love her body, so it shoud be a win-win situation but it isn't. I am not the kind of guy who would get off on her misery and she can't accept her belly even though she's all into body positivy etc. There were times where we both thought we were on the right track to mutual understanding, followed by backlashes. I'm happy to hear you both figured thing out. I guess we will also need few more years of ups and downs.
