DMF: Gaining at the Office

Six months ago when I started this new job, my boss was not kidding when she said "This office is not a good place for a diet." 

No kidding. In that time I've gone up at least two sizes. When I started I was able to get away with still wearing size 14...

But now my size 16s are definitely too small (as you've seen) and I need to buy some size 18s... but I don't know how long those will last before I'll need size 20.

Good thing I've got some stretchy skirts that still just barely fit:

I'm beginning to suspect that my habit of eating fast food at the office, having an entire drawer of candy bars and snacks, and coworkers who love to bake and bring in treats is probably part of the reason for these changes... on top of the weight gain shakes I like to drink at home of course.  

 

I'm actually kinda embarrassed about the amount of fast food and candy wrappers that go in my office trash can. I mean, I can't imagine with the janitor thinks when he empties them out each week and sees how gluttonous one person can be. I actually sometimes sneak trash out to the main breakroom so it doesn't look like I've eaten so much in my office.

When I don't eat in my office, I stuff myself in my car in the parking lot. I dread (but secretly am turned on) by my walk of shame as I come back to the office from my fast food run, holding huge grease-stained bags of fried food. Often I'll I pass one or two of my colleagues from other departments out in the hall who brought salads for lunch and are using the time I took going to the drive through to instead get some steps in. 

 

And of course on my telework days its time to let the belly free and plop it on my lap! I love to be able to graze all day without fear of judgement and see the results of my indulgence just sitting there, piling up. Just as long as I remember to turn off my Zoom camera (or have it angled up enough) so that no one sees my doughy belly resting on my lap. That could be embarrassing. 😅 

 

I wonder what the next six months will bring... Anyone want to help me restock my snack drawer or buy me lunch? 😘 I've got plenty of clips to choose from.

I went shopping today and tried on some XL jeans:

I kept telling myself that if I wear them under my belly they kind of fit… but not really. It’s still pinching me too hard to be comfortable.

I’m now firmly XXL and “plus size” for sure. There are so many stores I love that won’t carry my size now that I’ve grown! I’m too fat!!! 😅 🥵

It’s taking me a while to realize I’m not average size anymore and I’ll have to start shopping that way.  I’m getting too big for extra large and I’m outgrowing most of my clothes…But I still like all the cute clothes that can’t fit me anymore 😫

(even though you can see in the side view that they dig ever so slightly into my belly).

However, when I got home I realized that they are pretty tight sitting down, but at least they’re not as tight as the XLs I tried on at the store:

Ended up having two dinners tonight.😋

I was out getting a 🧋 boba tea and I got a message from a feeder friend on here who wanted to buy me dinner…. even though I was on my way to my mom’s and she was making us food. 

I wasn’t sure how much stretching these pants could take. But I was game.   So I went ahead and ordered $22 of Taco Bell:

6 crunchy taco supremes and 1 cheesy gordita crunch.

Feeling pretty full, I drove directly from the Taco Bell parking lot to my mom’s- only 10 minutes away. As I come through the door she announced “Just in time! Dinner’s almost ready.” 

My mom’s not a great cook, so when she makes a meal it’s a big deal. I couldn’t refuse, it would break her heart. 💔

So yeah… second dinner accomplished - on top of what I normally eat in a day. Why the hell am I craving chocolate now?

Do I look as full as I feel?
