Moving up in the world takes sacrifice. The time saved by fast food and skipped workouts was immediately spent at the office, as Tommy struggled for that big promotion. The stress of not knowing if those sacrifices would pay off was not easy to assuage, but his favorite flavors ofHaagen daz were always a good start.
 

Melanie was usually diligent about supporting her new hubby’s coping mechanism. Sure, she should be encouraging him to find healthier relief, but she loved the feeling of domesticating her man. Once a devout worshipper at the Iron Temple, Tommy wasn’t around nearly enough for Melanie’s emotional needs. He refused to eat any junk foods that might threaten his physique, making her feel self-conscious for ordering dessert.

Things are better this way, Melanie assured herself, now that he’s grown out of his gym gear, and grown into the life of a successful businessman. If she happened to enjoy the metamorphosis of rippling abs into jiggling bulge, that was merely a happy coincidence.
 

“Hey babe, we’re out of ice cream,” Tommy grumbled, his hand absentmindedly stroking his softened stomach. Melanie wondered if smooth flab or pockmarked cellulite was responsible for the way his ass filled out those once-loose boxers, her imagination stimulated by the refrigerator light lapping over his love handles, like a tide washing up an oyster fat with pearls of pleasure.

”No worries, babe, there’s more in the garage fridge. Take a seat, I’ll get it for you.”

Melanie beckoned to the sofa as she strode to the garage. No need for a bowl, she’d bring a spoon and the quart. She could only hope there’d still be room in his lap after he was done.
