Hello everyone

I've been on the boat for a very long time, so I thought that, instead of just throwing my recipe in the main page, I should make my own thread.

So, from time to time, I will post with you some good recipes of all kind that I make. I hope I will inspire you to make it for yourself :) (and make you salivate ;P)

Too bad I can't feed it to you myself.. Hehe

More a side dish than a whole meal, but I swear, this patato recipe make every person who eat it melt!

Potato sage & garlic gratin!

Its easy, you take a couple of potatoes that you cut in thing slice, you mix them with a lot a garlic (like 5 - 6 cloves), salt & pepper, a good amount of fresh sage and you rub them together. After, you line them vertically in a cooking pan and you fill uo with heavy cream until everything is soaked up. You that in yhe oven with old cheddar on top and Wowwww. You become addict

One of my favorite thing to make in the kitchen is bread. From pizza dough, to naan, to baguette, to bagel and on...

But today I tired some Bretzels bread and I think it end up pretty well! The Bretzels are soft, with a nice crust with big chunks of salt on top. It can be use for burger, sandwich, pullpork (personal favorite) for dipping with some sauce, for breakfast toast, many many use!

I also made some savory chicken drumstick! Some italian taste, garlic, rosemary and lemon is always a win together! The chicken is so tender and tasty! I like to eat it only with some country loaf bread slice that I rub some garlic on it and drizzle a bit of olive oil.. Mmmm

Dear friends, this is '' galaktoboùreko '', a greek custard pie. Its so amazing. The buttery phyllos pastry give a nice crunch while been very flacky, the custard is light with a nice flavor from the vanilla pods that infuse a delicious fragrance and the best, like almost all greek desserts, a wonderful syrop with a sexy parfum of cinnamon and citrus goodness. When the pie is still hot and you put the cold syrop on it, the pie soaks up all this sugary greatness.

A must try with a lil shooter of Metaxa!

Btw, this was only the dessert of a full greek meal for my best friend birthday! We are from Canada and he always tell how amazing the food was there, so I wanted to put a little bit of it on a plate for him be able to taste a bit of Greece.

I made some Spanakopita triangle to open up our appetite while drinking Metaxa! OPA! Spanakopita is a pastry made of phyllo and a delicious filling of spinach, feta and dill. Metaxa is a king a greek brandy but on the sweeter side. Very good. received_382518461122001.thumb.jpeg.4098b178f704b2986b0a8fe06f042b49.jpeg

For the diner I made a Pasticcio. Pretty similar to a lasagna but with a very different taste. I made the meat sauce inside very aromatic, I always use lots of cinnamon and cumin to give it that particular taste with some fresh mint and parley for freshness! The bechamel is made a very unique cheese name Kefalotiri, a kind of very sharp salty goat sheep that is also use in the Saganki, also known as Fried cheese!! 😍received_4092392860830567.thumb.jpeg.9ef4855d7d39372230d1b1ab716af252.jpegreceived_772318283568632.thumb.jpeg.a4b637674aeebc1fb91c4bf1a2ac96fc.jpeg

I made those too with the Spakopita. received_434644707755704.thumb.jpeg.a5bfafcc6a15212fb53536328ddd59c4.jpeg

A meal wortht of the Olympian Gods!
