I’ve been lurking here for a few months now and decided it was time to introduce myself. I was super skinny through high school, never weighing more than 105 lbs (I am 5’3”). When I went away to college I remained active, but my eating habits changed and my regular nighttime snacking caused me to slowly but steadily gain. I didn’t pay much mind to it (and was honestly a little bit in denial about it) and never took any steps to stop my weight gain. When I graduated last year I weighed around 130. Sometime around graduation, I started to figure out that not only do I like the new weight, but I feel so much sexier in a soft, dare I say chubby body than I did in a thin one. My weight is now up to 135. I’m not really in a place right now where I want to start gaining on purpose, but given the temptation, I’d say it’s quite possible that my weight will creep up regardless. I am also starting graduate school soon, so we’ll see what that decrease in activity does to my figure. I’d love to know what you think of my accidental gain. I live with my parents right now and I think they'd be shitty about it 2. I've had some body image issues in the past and I'm really good with where my body is right now so I'm hesitant to mess with it 3. I really highly value my ability to hike/bike/swim long distances and don't want to give that up 4. I’m in better cardiovascular/muscular shape now than I was when I was skinny so I’d say they got a little easier.
