The Brazilian Plus-Size modelling subculture seems to suffer of the same plague than the mainstream-ized layers of the same industry in North America: not enough diversity in shape, size, weight range and color skin. 😕

You got a point John, even at the show itself, most models are from the same mold so to speak, only a few where truly diverse in size, weight, build and skin color, and they where only hired by 2 companies as far as I noticed, tho I have not double checked.

Such underwhelming positive discrimination policy is vastly alarming, especially when we know that about sixty percent of the Brazilian population is actually of African ancestry, whom only about half of it being actually considered as metitzo. 

Their modelling casting is far much representative of the generations-old colourstruck and race-biased issues which belies within their (still segregated) society than actually representative to its diverse both demographics & beauty.
