What impact could Barrett's all but inevitable confirmation to the US Supreme Court have on Curvage and other sites with content the usual reactionary culture warriors would just love to label as "obscene" and thus not protected by the First Amendment? Is this going to be another SESTA/FOSTA disaster for any site insufficiently well heeled to moderate each and every user post and comment for possible signs, portents, and code phrases of sex work?

Adult Film Stars Speak Out on How Amy Coney Barrett Could Be 'Catastrophic' for Porn Industry

But Curvage goes out of its way to make sure its content isn't porn or 'obscene,' you say?

Bro. Just stop. Stop politicizing everything. Her confirmation will NOT affect any of this. This kind of stuff makes me wanna leave Curvage every time I see it. Uggh

Guilty as charged, I'm afraid. At least I'm sequestering this to its own easily ignored (or Abyssed!) thread in the srs bsnss topic.

FOSTA-SESTA was supposed to thwart sex trafficking. Instead, it’s sparked a movement (in addition to crippling sites like Craigslist, 'Whoopsie!')

I'm not trying to be a jerk or sound like one...its just that these things don't usually end well on sites like this where the site is about something completely unifying. We just end up arguing about possibilities and getting distracted haha. Thats all I'm saying, man.

Gotcha. I'll shut up now with one last joke, using the <> programming code formatting widget of all things. Why does Curvage even have that?

If you believe what you're bringing forth in off-topic segments may entertains people, then freaking entertains people.

And if you are believing what you're bringing forth may none only pertains to the welfare of this forum in the days to come but either ubdermine or benefit its set, then freaking speak about it.

Stop giving a f*** about what losers, socalled reactionary "culture warriors" and butthurt Klansmen think about your content: let them evolve or being trashed. Just DO IT.

Here comes John calling everyone nazis racists and klansmen who disagree with him. This site is about admiring fat women. Period. Leave the other stuff at home.

You may not be interested in the culture war, but the culture war is interested in you. And every aspect of our lives is affected.

I have been posting about it on other sites, not just here. And leaving it at home by voting by mail from home.

as long as you don't call people terrible names that disagree with you, I'll be cool with you. John implies and sometimes straight calls people racist, white supremacist and nazi if he disagrees with them. He has a long history on this site of playing the victim card and going on long incoherent rants. Kind of spoiled the Curvage experience for quite a few on this site. We can have disagreements, but its the straight up lying about people and sowing division that piss me off, especially on a site that has nothing to do with these subjects

You can tell theres a triggered trump fan in this thread but i wont @ them. This thread raises an interesting point, porn on the internet could be in trouble. Imagine what the Americans who voted for Trump would think if they realized they played a part in getting porn removed from the web 🤣

I expect if the new Conservative tilt of the SC ended up having "porn removed from the Internet" ;  it would almost certainly by that point have also implemented many more broadly Pro-patriarchy / anti women measures too - such as banning abortion, ending child support, ending alimony etc etc.

I expect many a right wing coomer would 'sacrifice' easy access to porn in the context of a wider roll-back of gender relations to that of the 1950s.

This is an excellent take, now lets just hope it doesnt come true. At least the overseas curvage fans would be unnaffected, we'd all just have to start using VPNs lol

It's interesting that in the UK,  ISPs natively block many feederism/FA sites already because they consider the fetish "self harm" (which I suppose... technically... It is).   I remember having to log in and disable the block so I could access some of them without a VPN.

Abortion would become illegal in America before porn was banned off the internet. That's not going to happen, guys. But say and believe what you want lol.

It’s insane that some clowns in a porn site think this is a great spot to discuss politics. Basically what this proves is, not only are you struggling to get laid, but your struggling just to have someone to talk too. This isn’t the place for politics.

Well it clearly is... given that there's an entire subforum put here for such "Serious Discussion".

Also what you're getting at is a straight up fallacy.  As has been said on this site dozens of times over the years -  fat fetishism and gaining (and porn broadly) is inherently political as it cuts across issues of female empowerment, personal agency,  gender relations & essentialism etc.

You may as well argue that those involved in ANY of the other non-content related subforums are similarly pathetic individuals - as you appear to be implying it's something pityful to wish there is any sort of "fa community" at all.  Presumably we should all just be silently fapping in a fit of self loathing and posting only direct content comments and requests?

Is that for real?! I mean, I knew many UK ISPs block Curvage and FF etc until some account permissions are set but I didn’t know it was on the grounds of self-harm. I thought it was because the ISP considered it “porn”

I can't remember curvage for sure but mine definitely blocked FF on the grounds of "self harm" yeah -   at least until I removed the 'opt out' parental controls
