She's definitely a few pounds heavier. On The Golden Girls in the 80s On Seinfeld in the 90s She didn't get very heavy, but it's still noticeable. It seems a lot of actresses back then didn't get fat, and if they did it wasn't until they were old. Though even then they always wore something big that covered their whole body. Film crews would do everything possible to obscure her lower body during filming, a fact which became common knowledge during the production of her TV show.
