It explains whatever happened to Bridget Fonda (I know - not exactly from the time frame the thread describes but it's almost 2020 and she got her start in the late 1980s so, I think it's a long enough time). She's best known as the all-purpose ethnic middle aged mom in the 1980s-2010s: The Nanny (Jewish), My Big Fat Greek Wedding (Greek), My Favorite Year (Italian), etc. Her weight went up and down during this period, sometimes dramatically. For instance she's pretty zaftig in Love is All There Is (Angelina Jolie's first movie, fwiw) and downright svelte in The Associate, both movies released in the same year (1996).
