Models who don't acknowledge or say "Thank you!" when you buy their clips

I'm not one of those people who harasses women here or anywhere, but it is nice, when you buy a clip, to get some sort of acknowledgement or "Thanks, guy!"

Some models are so sweet and kind and drop notes, which take all of 10 seconds. Some of them, you even end up going back and forth a bit in PMs, which of course makes you want to buy in the future.

But when a day, a week, a month goes by and nothing, I feel, I don't know, kinda let down, a little.

I think part of wanting a thank you" is sort of connecting, in your mind, that the clip you are viewing of a beautiful fat woman is someone from here, someone who will use the money you paid to buy food or pay rent or put it in the cookie jar, and you are saying "There are many, many girls here, but I think you're special so here is some money for your clip, God bless you, rock on" or such.

Am I being a brat? Asking too much?

I would also never say the above to the model - they get enough grief and it's only $7.99 or $14.00 or whatever the clip costs - so I'm saying it here, wondering if others feel the same.

In my opinion, they don’t owe you anything. You bought a clip, you presumably got enjoyment out of it, transaction complete. Everyone hopefully came out with a fair trade. Is it nice if a girl then says thanks or something nice in response? Absolutely, and I agree that it’s a good method to keep people coming back, but I also don’t think anyone is obligated to do so.

Expecting a thank you from sex workers is like expecting the CEO of Warlmart to thank you for buying a pair of shorts lol. That being said, the models who nurture a personal connection with those who buy their content make more money than the ones who don't.

I might also point out that they don’t know you bought their clip unless you leave a review. They know when clips sell but don’t get to see who bought them.

One of the great things about Curvage is it totally protects your privacy. Even moderators don’t know who bought clips. Your purchase is totally masked unless you choose to let folks know by way of a review

Thank you

There you go. Good information. I should also add that some of the time - not all of the time - I realize a model may have dozens or more people every day buying their content across at least 4-5 platforms and may be otherwise busy in their lives, and it's not personal...

I'm glad I made this thread even though all the responses were "No, I don't agree that they owe you anything."

This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone wanting to be thanked for buying a clip. Unless I am on a camsite and I buy a clip when the model is live on cam, I do not anticipate acknowledgment.

I generally don't leave reviews. It really does help them if you leave reviews. I should do it.

You pay for the clip, you get the clip, that is all that is required. It is nice to leave a review, it is nice to be thanked, but not to be expected.

Don't bother, fishing for a response, it's a miracle you're not ghosted these days.  Literally just had a woman talk about how she likes bigger guys, had fun for 1 day and out she goes the next.  Fun role reversal I admit, with a thinner woman.

Glad you weren't hassled for speaking your opinion, though reviews will encourage a minimal response (when you stop buying they forget you exist).

Just like any walk of life, see who wants to talk to you, give beautiful/new ideas and form a fulfilling type of understanding. It takes a lot of time through trial and error, much like finding an appreciative person online to support.

It's a mixed bag. If it becomes part of the sex for sale industry I don't want to hear from anyone.

I have gotten close in a few instances, where we share some similar characteristics and I have had some decent correspondence, which was pleasant up to a point.

The question is, what if she got really friendly? What if I got all the thanks and attention I am looking for?

I know myself well enough to know that I am all about "catch and release".

The idea of exchanges is pleasant, but as soon as the process starts, I am backing out some how and trying to figure out a smooth way to do it.

Look, I am here in a world where I can take in 100's of images and messages concerning my FA predilection and to me that clearly demonstrates that I don't have time either!

I'm seldom disappointed when people don't respond. They just got out first.

Not exactly thanks, but a big expansion on the matter....thank you for your patience. 😁

personally i do not their side of the story but i am sure it can be a drag to interact with some clients... for what i have read over the yeards there is always one or two nut heads that will drive well intentioned models into being more aware of client interaction and trying to minimize them. so... thanking for a clip could be not necessary, probably interacting with paysite members could be a good marketing activity that i concede. but i think there is more to that what we know or think and that there are surely some very crazy stories out there

I know this is an old thread, but I personally would LOVE to thank everyone who buys a clip of mine but unfortunately we are unable to see that information! I assume someone buys certain clips by the way the interact with my posts about them but I never know for sure unless they leave a review. I always try to to respond to that review (unless I miss it!) Or message them thanking them.  I believe by our interaction earlier that you have bought some of my clips...unless there is another watermelon man user with a similar name lol in that case disregard ... the giant THANK YOU! for buying my clips and supporting my gain and confidence 🖤😘

Interesting thread.

I agree with many of the other posters - you buy the video, have your fun with it, transaction completed.  I don't require or "expect" any thanks for buying a vid at all.  (Adding to which, models don't know who buys their vids and many have hundreds of purchases - thanking everyone individually would be impossible.)

I remember an argument on the boards a couple of years ago - probably deleted now - where someone was kicking off about not getting the attention he believed he deserved from a model because he'd bought a video of hers.  He just sounded silly.

However, I don't think the situation is like the owner of Walmart thanking you after buying your shorts there.  Walmart is a massive mult-million dollar corporation which has the luxury of treating their customers like dirt (if they wanted to).  Curvage models are usually (always?) working in a "cottage industry" - so, as someone else said, it's actually kinda worthwhile for them to cultivate a half-decent relationship with their business customers, in order for them to come back for more.  (But that still doesn't mean I expect attention from a model when I buy a vid.)

Writing a review is a little different.  I have to admit to really liking it when I get a reaction from the model after she's read my review - after all, I sorta write the review half for the model to read and half for interested potential buyers to read.  (But, even then, I don't expect anything more than hopefully a "like" reaction.)

Just realised I've not really added anything to the conversation - just rehashed what others said.  Ah well.

I don't think this is such an unreasonable question. One likes to think a webmodel is just talking to you and maybe a couple of others! Not the case, of course, but, yea, you tend to forget this is a business and a successful business of this sort is about volume. Think about if you are selling clips for, say, 10 bucks a pop. To make $100 that day ya gotta move 10 clips, or more actually, because someone always gets a cut, and the making of the vids can take time with lighting, set, food if she's eating on camera, and time to edit, if they do edit. And some of the ladies are pretty elaborate, getting other models in with them, or thinking up themes which they then market. And that's not even including the cost of food if she's actively gaining. It's not easy as 1-2-3, the life of a web model - both the making of the content and then the successful sale of same so it's worth their time.

That said, a quick "Thanks!" is always a thrill. I've been an eBay seller for over ten years and no matter how many orders I put together every day, each box gets a little "Thanks for buying!" note in the box. I'm proud to say I haven't had a single neg rep in my whole eBay life. Is that due to the notes? I don't know. It doesn't hurt, though!

I think you forgot the third "half": for me to enjoy being acknowledged / praised. And there's nothing wrong with that.

As for the topic, I think what people who expect models to thank them for buying their clips are lacking is simply affection from another human being. The whole porn industry thrives just as much on lust as it does on love, or lack thereof.
