Dude, the Internet has changed. It's no longer the domain of the socially inept and the insecure. These women don't want your attention nor do they need your attention, but they will give you their attention for a price.

Believe it or not, most women are not waiting to get swept off their feet by some man, the 'right fan,' an internet stranger, and they're not losing any prospects by denying freeloaders. In fact, if they WERE looking for a man, they're probably doing themselves a service by charging because someone who can pay for their services probably has a steady job, high income, and pays for what he cares for (or is just a porn addict, but the two are not mutually exclusive).

Is it problematic that so many women are involved in sex work to some degree now? Sure. Is it still largely and exploitative business? Yes. But for many of these women if they're gonna be exploited, they might as well make a buck in the process.
