A question for paysite models

So, I recently decided to start posting original bbw/wg related content on pornhub. I am not a bbw, I'm an aspiring 3D animator/3D modeling artist. My goal isn't to make money right now, it's just for fun. However, I decided to look into pornhub's monitization system for "free" videos, and I was pretty impressed with how well their system works - which made me curious.

For those who have never looked into how YouTube, Pornhub, or any other video streaming services work - ad revenue is generated by a dollar amount per every 1000 views. For Pornhub, the average CPM is $0.69US (I just feel like that's on purpose :p). So for a video that gets 1M views, the creator would receive around $690.00US, which isn't enough to support yourself on, no doubt, but for a hobbyist like myself, it would be a nice suppliment to my regular income.

However, if you choose to upload your content as "premium" which is free to do so as a content creator, but only allows pornhub premium users to view - you receive $45.00USD per 1000 views - meaning a 1M view count video receives around $45,000USD - now THAT is worth taking note of.

Pornhub also allows creators to sign up for copyright protection, meaning pornhub will look after and act on any DCMA takedowns on your behalf. The only downside is that you forfeit your right to post content on any other free video streaming platforms, but you can still upload content to paid subscription platforms, or clip sale websites like C4S. But still, filing a DCMA claim as an individual is a difficult process, and having a large corporate entity fighting your battles makes things a lot easier.

Basically, what I'm wondering, is why more models are not opting to upload videos to Pornhub as premium content? The majority of models belong to subscription services or sell individual clips. I just feel like they are missing out on a huge chunk of potential revenue and limiting their audience. For instance, when you sign up for a subscription service, you usually gain access to the model's full content library, meaning the model profits ONCE from your monthly subscription fee, and not per video view. I also know our community (not Curvage specifically, I'm talking about the bbw/feedee/feeder/fa community as a whole) is pretty bad for content sharing, meaning more revenue lost. Some subscription services cost over $20 per month to join, which sometimes people can't afford, or at the least, it forces admirers like myself to have to choose between which model we want to support - which I don't feel is really fair when we really want to support as many people as we can. If more models went to something like the pornhub premium platform, users would pay $9.99 per month and have access to every model who is there, and support would be tied to viewership. I have no clue as to how many people are purchasing clips, subscriptions, etc, but I feel like the popular models would easily be able to garner around 1M views per video, and I have a hard time believing that models are making above $45,000 per clip right now.

I know Pornhub is a "porn" site, and most models don't do hardcore porn - mostly belly play, stuffing, etc, so there might be a stigma that it isn't the right place for their content. That being said there are a TON of videos on pornhub that are feedee/stuffing/belly-play related, or in the more "soft-core" category.

So is there a reason why this hasn't taken hold? Is there something I missed? Thanks!

Good luck, I notice thoughtful posts like these get no views ironically enough.  Probably similar to when guys post for a giant dustball; that's why I only go by pm if some lucky lady likes little ole me (a little alliteration fun, but their votes of confidence make me feel a lot better).

I am surprised people would pay for pornhub given you still have private videos locked (need to be friends is a bit of an ordeal honestly).  There's also a lot of leaked stuff too

I've said before subscriptions are quite obsolete given a higher barrier to entry and no real interaction (which is golden here, with very unique reactions on a good day to make me want to chase).

I think in general they want to have more bells/whistles which pornhub really doesn't do (correct me if I'm wrong).  I also have difficulty finding specific channels.  It's like a smorgasbord of videos for whatever fetishes, rather than a model directory.  You did answer your question about a fetish/softcore not really being pornhub's forte so to speak.

Lastly, only a few people will make it big so to speak. Not everyone's gonna be making $1000's per month, and at least having your own platform would probably feel better at least.
