Check out the movie "Some Like It Hot"-- she is very juicy in it.

She was pregnant in that film IIRC, but either way she was unbelievably curvy.

She was also thick in her next movie, "Let's Make Love", although she wasn't pregnant and it was really a lousy movie.

On a side note, that scene where her hips and butt get stuck going through a porthole in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" is just...perfection. I don't know if someone could make screencaps, but that was just an amazing scene!

During the filming of Some Like it Hot, Billy Wilder asked if she would consider losing a few pounds. Her response was to imply that playwright Arthur Miller, her husband at the time, was a fat admirer:

"You want your audience to be able to distinguish me from Tony and Jack, don't you? And besides, my husband likes me plump."

She's one of my first memories of cognitive disonance. She was supposed to be the biggest sex symbols of all times, but by modern standards she seemed so.....fat, which to me felt wrong but was strangely arousing at the same time.

I've heard many times that 'she would be considered a bit too fat by modern standards'  but it's a missconception. She was indeed very curvy, due to her really narrow waist and big breasts, but still thin...at least before gaining weight in the two movies metioned above.

Yup - "Some Like it Hot" and "Let's Make Love" are the two movies to watch for a thick (almost fat) Marilyn.

Some Like it Hot is a good movie - the scene on the boat with Tony Curtis near the end is almost racy for the era, and Marilyn's plumpness is on full display.  Let's Make Love is a lousy movie, but the scenes with a very pot-bellied Marilyn will keep your interest.

She lost weight for her last released movie "The Misfits", but truly looks the beauty she was.  She was difficult on and off the set, and drove a very professional Clark Gable bonkers - some claim the stress led to his fatal heart attack a short time after the filming.   There are clips available for her last film role in the unfinished "Somethings Got to Give" with Dean Martin.  She is unbelievably beautiful in this role.   She was fired for missing her call times, and died under what many believe suspicious circumstances shortly thereafter.

She was still pretty soft in The Misfits. Also Let's Make Love is a lousy movie? Have you actually watched the whole film? It's very underrated. Very fun mistaken identity story with delicious chemistry between Yves Montand and Marilyn Monroe (who had a off-screen affair) and excellent direction by George Cukor, one of the great comedy directors of Classical Hollywood.
