Maintaining Weight vs Gaining Weight

Let's start off with a couple honest statements:

As a business lady, my business goal is to always make money.

As a human being, my goal is to be happy, healthy, and comfortable.

Those being said... I've entered a bit of a weird spot with my business and how it is having a pretty harsh affect on my life. I've been an "internet model/cam girl/clip producer" for 6-7 years now, and only within the last year really started focusing on BBW-centric clips. Business BOOMED with the focus, but there's a lot of demand for weight gain that I don't know if I want to give in to. Since I started shooting XXX content, I've gone from 180lbs to over 210lbs (I'm only 5'3" height wise); most of that in the last year.

I'm past the point where I ever wanted to be weight wise, and I don't feel healthy. Walking up more than one flight of stairs gets me winded. That's not cool. I always told myself I'd never get above 200lbs, and now that I'm here, I've never been more uncomfortable in my skin, despite how well my membership site & clips4sale stores are doing.

Basically, I'm at a point where I'm asking myself (and obviously you guys here on Curvage) if this gain is worth the business, or if I need to refocus myself and get back to a point where I'm comfortable in my own skin.

Can maintaining weight be just as sexy as gaining weight?

Why did you choose making porn in first place?

What would make you stopping making porn?

If making profit is your passion, you can do that AND being happy, healthy, comfortable.

I would say: don't gain intentionally, try not to gain unintentionally, but don't be harsh with yourself if you fail.

Fetish porn is not the easiest way to find happiness IMO.

That said, if you like it, why not?

If you had to choose and only pick one option between wealth, health and happiness, which one would you choose?

Or perhaps the wisest thing for to do would be: see a doctor for your health (mental as well as physical), talk to your best friend and open your heart to this person.

And my wisest think to say: I have no clue, the answer is in you.

I guess you could try a few things and see how they go;

maintain/get fitter:

if you're not feeling healthy you could start doing some exercise - swimming maybe once or twice a week? Coupled with eating a bit more to maintain your weight for the sake of your business.

lose some weight:

Or you could just drop some weight until your happy in your body - might lead to better products since you'd be happier in your skin? Though I'd imagine this would be the least profitable.

gain more:

Doesn't sound like gaining anymore weight on it's own is an option. But unfortunately would probably be the most profitable.

At the end of the day it's up to you.

Edit: to answer your last point. Yes it can be, but you'd need to keep it interesting. One of the things about gaining weight is that people tune in to see how a model's body has changed and that is the interesting part to them. Those weight gaining models can do the same videos over and over at Xlbs difference. So you'd have to  be very creative and good at coming with new ideas to keep people interested.

Gaining weight is hotter than maintaining weight if you have a weight gain fetish, which a lot of us do. That's not to say you won't find people interested in what you're selling if you maintain and better yet emphasize the gain you've had already.

If you don't feel well in your own skin, which should be priority number one, I'd say go for less to reach a state where you feel good again.

Maintaining weight can be as sexy as gaining weight for those who aren't into weightgain as a fetish, for those who are, it will not be as triggering as gaining weight.

But you are the only one to decide what is more important to you, money or a good body feeling.

I started as a fetish "star" because I'm a kinky girl and it was a relatively safe way to explore a lot of curiosities I had at 19. I think finding a career that made me equally happy and fulfilled as porn does would make me quit altogether. I love making fetish videos, but I don't like the gaining part on myself. At my core, I'm much more of a feeder than I am a feedee.

I appreciate your feedback!! It's honest and you posed great things to think about. Thank you :)

well... thats a very good question. and you are the only one that can answer it. and the main thing is... are you enjoying the gain? your body? the food? are you happy? thats the only thing that matters really.

I love to eat, but I'm not loving the weight I've gained. Gaining isn't really my thing on me. I love other's gains though...I think it's quite attractive!! I'm happy in other aspects of my life, but my gain is something that has made me uncomfortable and unhappy with my body

Yes maintain weight can be sexy, but only to those who already find larger women attractive. Essentially, you become a "normal" model, but with a few extra pounds. With weight gain models, they tend to be almost entirely soft core, only focused on eating/gaining/talking about how much they're gaining. The people who only have a weight gain fetish will of course be unhappy, but people who just plain like fat girls will still be satisfied.

Of course, it sounds like you may actually want to lose weight considering you aren't happy in your skin as it is. I think the majority of your fans will support you doing what makes you happy, the ones who dont are assholes whose opinions dont matter anyway. Money is amazing, but you only have one you, so take care of her however you feel is best.

Seems like you're answering your own question.

Just realize that when you lose weight you're going to have to work that much harder at them.

Can maintaining weight be just as sexy as gaining weight?

Hey girl hey!

This is such a loaded issue for all of us because there is a definite pressure in this niche for girls to get bigger. But there are definitely PLENTY of girls in the market that are around your size, smaller, and bigger that don't want to gain for health reasons or personal reasons, as you stated. Gaining is not a lifestyle choice that I feel should be taken lightly and if it isn't something you find personal enjoyment in doing, I wouldn't recommend doing it for the sake of the job.

There are plenty of women in the niche that enjoy making fantasy content related to feederism, gaining, etc. that don't gain weight and haven't gained weight and still maintain a successful career. You should definitely do what you are comfortable with doing, and if being beautiful, PERFECT and the size you are now or even smaller in the future  is what you truly want then don't sacrifice those values.

I think there's a huge misconception with models, especially those who weren't first exposed to the feederism scene, that only very large or gaining models do well and that's just not the case. Some of the most popular girls in the bbw niche are your size! If you're likeable and fun and produce sexy content, it goes so much further with fans than simply adding an extra 15lbs.

I hope this helps a little bit! I know it's confusing and if you want to talk about it more candidly, I'm always available to chat.

i think you have expressed clearly and more importantly you have been honest... therefore there is only way one to go. losing weight. as our beloved adeline say gaining is not for everyone, at this point you would have realized if its make you happy and thats not the case.

the same way a thin girl stays thin because thats how she feel better we must understand that gaining can make a person happy, and we must respect that.

personally i found truly exciting to see a lady overeat and gain weight, so when i find a girl that loves to eat and gain... dream come true.

It would take some work and creativity, but if you could find someone to partner with who does want to gain you could  roleplay a story, like you see in weight gain stories and comics. you get to focus on your health, and stickj to a stronger kink, while also apeasing the viewers who want the gain aspect.

i.e. you got fat for you b/f but you brokle up and now youre trying to lose weight. However along the way you've picked up some kind of gaining protege that now you dominate/force feed etc.

To more directly respond: Health should always come first. You can't make money if you're too sick or in the hospitol etc and as others have mentioned, your production quality will suffer if you are unhappy.

If you've been in the business for 6 years already, then I'm confident you have what it takes to continue a sucessful career. I wish you luck :)

Sydney,

I think you should stop gaining and cut the weight that makes you uncomfortable. Even at 200 or 180 pounds you remain to be a curvy cutie that can easily pull off a show with weight gain teasing, feeding and relatd videos.

As one already siad you could fatten slim tiny modls up a bit... maybe with a storyline that they humiliated you in the past and now you somehow can blackmail them and force them to get fat... How does that sound?

You could also d stuffing fits once a blue moon in which your own belly becoms full and bloated to its max... and you could tease about gaining weight then... you see?

I´m sure you can keep your career running with some pounds less. And think about the fact that withoout the extra weight you will feel far more comfortable and that will have a positive effect on your work as well!

Hope I could help you, Sydney!

Best wishes and hugs,

Chris

If you're not happy with your weight, then you should definetly stop gaining weight. Do what makes you happy!

If you're interested in losing weight and also feeding someone else, maybe you can find someone who is willing to gain weight (perferably someone who is your goal weight) and do a role reversal. For every pound you lose, she has to put on. This way you get healthier, you help someone else with their goals, and you still make money from your website (I know I'd buy those videos).
